I’m not very active on Facebook, but after watching FarmVille and Cafe World in action for a while, I decided to have a go at it myself.
Little did I know just how addictive it can be. I’m playing Cafe World and the drive to keep virtual customers satisfied while keeping your buzz rating as high as you can (105 is the maximum for now) while churning out food as quickly as you can and earning all the cash and points available is crazy.
You want to be monitoring it 24-7 and of course, you can’t. So food spoils, and customers get upset and before you know it, you are working at it again, churning out more food, and trying to keep your virtual customers happy. If you have Facebook access at work, woe betide you! How on earth can you get any work done?
I saw that happen with FarmVille too. The drive to earn more and more medals and earn more and more money was all encompassing. Pretty much like real life eh?
After playing Cafe World for a few days, and after figuring out a few kinks to get my cafe in tip top condition, I’ve decided to scale back. Take time out to cook some real food and maybe get out in some real sunshine
You? Are you addicted to Facebook games?

Not a big fan of games with no actual reward. Addicted to FB games which offers prizes
But then, it’s always hard to get good scores because too many hackers/better players out there.
@SY: There are games with actual rewards?! o_O
