Men’s lifestyle makes our skin more sensitive to environmental agressions – attacked by shaving and weakened by stress and pollution. So when I learnt about Vichy Homme which contains their signature Thermal Spa water, a unique water of volcanic origin rich in rare minerals which is good for soothing and and fortifying effect, I was interested to try it. Unfortunately, we do not get Vichy Homme range of products for men in Malaysia.
I bought the Vichy Homme Purifying Cleansing Gel (125ml) from Singapore two months ago. This gel is in a flip top tube and its soap free. I like this gel as it cleanses in-depth and leaves my skin clean and clearer. It also gives an immediate freshness and prepares my skin for shaving.
Although, the description says it is suitable for all skin type including sensitive skin, I feel that this gel is not suitable for dry skin. It is also not suitable to be used daily for those with normal to combination skin as it may cause some dryness in your skin.
Since I have normal to combination skin, I use the Vichy Homme Purifying Cleansing Gel for deep cleansing whenever I feel my skin getting shiny and oily. One point to note is that after using this cleansing gel, you must apply your normal toner and follow up with a moisturizer or otherwise your face will feel a bit tight and dry. I believe this Clensing Gel is more suitable for those who have oily skin. If you have an oily skin you may try this Purifying Cleansing Gel and then share your experience with us.
