Real men dress impeccably…and especially when donning formal attire.
When it comes to the length of neckties, I silently shudder to myself each time I catch a glimpse of a man with his necktie tied either too short or too long. Have a look at these:

Doesn’t it make you cringe?!
So what is the standard length to aim for when tying a necktie? Although many will advise you to have the tip of your tie hit the top of your belt, I think that’s a little too short, because to me the widest part of the tie should be in line with the top of your belt. That way, there will be no shirt showing on either side of the point.
So when one is standing up straight, a necktie is tied to the proper length when the tip of the tie lies directly in line with the bottom of your belt buckle – no more, no less. I do not care what anyone else thinks, to me there is only one correct length, and this is it!
