Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care

After trying the New Vichy Normaderm Refine Total Pore Resurfacing Essence where my pores become less visible and skin texture more refined with a bit of silky texture within a short time, I have decided to try out  the other popular product of Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care (RM100 /50ml) (link) as  a moisturizer after applying the essence.

This hydrating care is meant for people with skin imperfections - clogged pores, uneven skin surface, shine, redness and dilated pores; and is supposed to make your skin hydrated, matt and smooth. It claims to show results within 4 weeks where skin is visibly transformed and healthy; imperfections corrected, redness reduced and excess sebum controlled.  It  contains “Zincadone +”  with  Salicylic  Acid  which helps to dry out  imperfections,  tighten the pores and  eliminate dead cells which causes spots and blackheads (unblocked pores).

Since, the Vichy Laboratoires Men Products range is not available in Malaysia yet, I guess for the time being we guys can give it a try to use  to see whether  it will produce results. My philosophy is as long as it works whether it is for men or not, it does not matter, the important is it produces results.

I started to use this Hyrating care product [a white and thin cream but not watery and sticky] for one week. I applied it daily morning and evening after applying  the Vichy Normaderm Refine Total Resurfacing Esseence on a full face.  It absorbed very fast.  Once applied, you will feel that its slightly sticky upon touching your skin but within 30 seconds when you touch again you will feel that your skin feels soft and smooth.

After one week, I have noticed that  some spots on my face are less visible :) .. This could be the joint result  from the the total pore resurfacing essence.

However,  there is a drawback on this cream as I have  discovered my skin has become drier so I think that it is not suitable for my skin type which is normal-combination. Further, this product contains Salicylic Acid  which apart from having the effect of making the skin feel smooth since it removes dead skin cells, will also tend to dry out the skin a little.

Thus, I believe this cream will be more suitable for those who have oily skin or skin that is prone to pimples and sensitive skin. Why I say  it may be good for skin which are prone to pimples? I tested my face where I had applied the cream on an area affected by pimples and it has helped to dry out the pimples and clear my skin within about 2 days.

You may consider trying out this oil free cream of Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care if you want to control oily or acne-prone skin. I would caution that this hydrating cream is not suitable for those who have dry skin as it can make your skin feel drier.

This Vichy Hydrating Cream is available at most leading pharmacies e.g. Guardian, Watsons, Caring etc. and sometimes goes on discount if you’re lucky.
