Kanebo, generally a brand that most people will associate with ladies skincare. However, I have been using Kanebo products for more than 2 years now and have found that they are excellent for men’s skin as well!
I will start off my review of their products with the Milky Conditioner. It is basically their own lingo for moisturiser. I generally use this at night and it works really well. Upon application, it is a bit liquid and wet which makes it easy to spread over the face. However, leave it on for a couple of minutes and once fully absorbed, it leaves a smooth matt finish to the skin. (Therefore being useful for nights out as well where greasy looking skin is a BIG no-no
)
I usually sleep in an air-conditioned room and the Kanebo Milky Conditioner works very well to protect my face from dryness.I don’t wake up with the tight feeling that is normally associated with sleeping in air-conditioned rooms. I have used it for my neck too and it works just as well. Another plus point for this moisturiser is that my skin is quite dry as a result of taking Accutane (I will post about this in the near future). For those who don’t know what this is, it is a form of medication to treat acne. It works extremely well but leaves the skin feeling very dry. I have found the Kanebo Blanchir Whitening Milky Conditioner to work very well for me in keeping my face moisturised while I sleep. Since I started using it, I have not had any problems with dryness on my face at all.
For anyone (men/women) looking for a good night moisturiser, I would definitely recommend this. It can be bought here in Malaysia from any of the Kanebo counters in shopping centres or from their saloons. It retails for RM168 for a 50ml bottle. It will last for about 3 months depending on the individual. There are several other products of theirs which I use and I also go for their facials. So, watch this space for further Kanebo reviews! (as well as why men should go for facials
