Men Need Sunscreen Too!

Sunscreen men

Men often don’t think about using sunblock as men have always been portrayed as tanned and dark. Tall, dark and handsome aside, in reality, the sun is a very harsh and damaging agent to your skin and prolonged exposure to the dangerous UVA and UVB rays can actually cause skin cancer in the long run. It is also a premature aging factor and the common cause of facial wrinkles.

So do men need sunblock? Yes, they definitely do!

Men tend to think that they are exempt from skin cancer and that public health warnings do not apply to them. “They don’t want to walk out looking slightly whiter because of sun block.” (Source) But sunscreen does more than just help you stay looking whiter – it can effectively block UVA and UVB rays if you use the right sunscreen in the right amounts.

Men or not, no one can escape skin cancer or premature aging and wrinkles so wise up men and slop on the sunscreen! Try the superb sunscreen by the Australia Cancer Council, slap on a wide brimmed hat and slip on sufficient covering before heading out in the summer sun!
