I was at the Curve last weekend, on the way to Factory Outlet Store (FOS) and happened to chance upon a store called For Him by William Martins at Lot 106 on the first floor.

They were advertising free facials, which sparked my curiosity, and had me entering the store to inquire more about it. I was initially disappointed to find out that this was actually a mini-facial consisting of a 5-minute cleanse-tone-moisturise session!
However, I was feeling hot from the afternoon sun after crossing from Ikano Power Centre (IKEA) to the Curve and my face was feeling a bit oily, so I thought to myself, “Hey…why not?!”
So I registered my details and was immediately attended to by a young aesthetician called Ee Von, who started off the mini-facial session by asking me to lay down and then making inquiries as to what skincare products I were currently using.
She then proceeded with my 5-minute free mini-facial as follows:
Cleansing
Lab Series – Multi-Action Face Wash (RM85 for a 100ml bottle)
This cream cleanser contained exfoliating beads, so it actually acted as a scrub as well. It foamed well, so was able to wash away all the dirt and grime from my face, without the feeling of tightness. When asked if it could be used everyday, and in fact, twice a day, Ee Von hesitated a little before answering, “Yes…as long as you follow up with a moisturiser after that.”
Toning
Mario Badescu – Chamomile Cleansing Lotion (RM77 for a 236ml bottle)
I had never heard of Mario Badescu before, but Ee Von repeatedly stressed that this was an excellent toner that was extremely gentle, alcohol-free and able to soothe and calm dry and red skin. Also perfect for my sensitive skin and my almost sun-burnt face then!
Moisturising
Lab Series – Age Rescue Face Lotion (RM155 for a 50ml bottle)
Ee Von said that this moisturiser contained retinyl palminate and green tea, which could help reduce the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines, which is all good! It was supposed to be an oil-free product, and my skin really didn’t feel oily at all for the rest of the evening.
At the end of this 5-minute mini-facial, I felt refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for a whole long bout of shopping! Really worth 5-minutes of your time, in my opinion!
